Advanced Engineering Building, University of Queensland, 2011–2012

2011-2012

Landscape design lead for UQ’s technically complex engineering building at the St Lucia campus, working with the HASSELL and Richard Kirk joint venture. The landscape package covered ground-level spaces, podiums, roof gardens, streets, parkland and a lakeside boardwalk. Sustainable design included endemic planting, recycled materials and retention of significant trees more than 100 years old. The building received the John Dalton Award for Building of the Year at the 2014 Queensland Regional Architecture Awards.
